We are a class of amazing children at Vardon School in Hamilton. The purpose of this blog is to share what we are learning with others. Click into our individual blogs to see samples of our work and reflections of what we did well and what we can improve on.

Miss Skeen
We are very lucky in Room 1 to have a student teacher to work with us for 8 weeks. Her name is Miss Skeen. She has been in our class for 1 week and has helped us with lots of different learning already. We can't wait to find out what else she is going to do with us!
Swimsafe
Last week the junior syndicate went to Waterworld for Swimsafe.
At the end of morning tea time each day we started walking to Waterworld. When we got there we had to go and get changed in the changing rooms.
We had to get into 3 different groups for our swimsafe lessons. Each day we learnt different things. Some of the things we learnt were: floating on our front and back, kicking with straight legs, using freestyle arms, backstroke, breaststroke. If you go into our individual blogs you will see more about what we learnt last week at Swimsafe.
