Rocky Shore Trip

Yesterday we went on a trip to the Rocky Shore in Raglan.

We saw crabs, seaweed, rocks, shrimps, barnacles, chiton, little waves and lots of other things.

We were so excited to see all of the cool things in the rock pools.

This is what happened on our day:

Before we went to the rock pools we stopped at Manu Bay to have morning tea and go to the toilet. The ground was wet so some of us couldn't sit down to eat.
This is Manu Bay where we had morning tea:

Then we got back in the bus and went to Whale Bay which is where the Rock Pools were.

When we got there Mrs Steel and Mrs Thomson went down to put the cones out so we knew where we could go. Mrs Steel slipped on a rock and hurt her face and arm.

After this we all went on the rocks and started exploring.

We were there for about 1 hour and then we got back on the bus to go and have lunch.

We had lunch at the domain near the playground. After lunch we went and played in the sand and made sandcastles.

Then we all got back into the bus and came back to school. We were all very tired.

You can ask us more about our awesome trip in comments if you wish...

  4. Hi Room 1
I am following your blog now too. I am so excited to be able to learn along with you as well!
What an amazing day you had at the rock pools in Raglan. You learnt so much too - I didn't know what a "Chiton" was until I visited Room 4 and they taught me - even teachers need to learn too!
I was very glad to hear that Mrs Steele didn't break her arm.

  6. Hello Mrs Steel,
Are you able to add a feature on the "Comment as" for just a NAME? Leah's Nanny isn't able to comment under any of the options given.

    Thank you.
